Rebecca Pack Memorial Friendship Skate is an annual skater development event in memory of skater, Rebecca Pack. This event provides athletes and coaches from all over the province the opportunity to “tweak” competitive programs for the upcoming season. Held annually in October, this event is a highly competitive event with many parents, officials and spectators making for a very exciting atmosphere!
Skate Canada Newfoundland and Labrador was saddened by the passing of 10 year-old Rebecca Pack in May 2006. Rebecca, a member of the Conception Bay North Skating Club, loved to skate and competed this season at the BMO Financial Group Sectionals, Eastern Regionals, the Provincial School Studio Festival Synchronized championships and WFC Junior Provincials. A former member of the Port Aux Basques Skating Club, Rebecca also skated as a member of the 2004-2005 Skate Canada Newfoundland and Labrador PEP Team.
2020:
Due to Public Health Restrictions surrounding Covid-19 and a recommendation made by the SCNL Return to Skating Committee, Skate Canada Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Directors have cancelled this event that was to be held in October 2020.

The Silver Jets Skating Club hosted the 2019 Rebecca Pack Memorial Friendship Skate on October 19-20, 2019 in Gander, NL
