Snowflake Figure Skating Club is currently looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and self motivated, individual to fill the position of Coach for the 2020-21 season and beyond, to team with another coach. We run our program from October to April and skate 12-13 hours per week over 4 days. Our club is located in Happy Valley-Goose Bay NL Canada, Central Labrador. The ideal candidate will have previous experience coaching group lessons, have a passion for developing skaters from the beginner level, work well with others, have great organizational/leadership skills and most importantly be energetic and fun. Job description is, but not limited to:
Instruct athletes in CANSKATE and STARSKATE.
- Perform assessments/evaluations
- prepare and accompany athletes for competitive events and test days
- Choreograph routines for skaters along with end of the year ice show
- follow Skate Canada Code of Ethics
- Be willing to work in a team environment
Qualifications:
- Be a registered NCCP Skate Canada Professional Coach in Good Standing
- Minimum Regional Coach (Primary STARSKATE / Level 1) Certified.
- STAR Level Assessment certification
- Current fist aid certification

The Wabush Figure Skating Club (WFSC) is a non-profit, volunteer-run sports club. We offer several programs for all ages and levels of skating. We are located in Wabush, Labrador and we are seeking a qualified Regional Skate Canada Coach to assume the role of Club Coach for the 2020 – 2021 skating season. Our club is located in Wabush, NL Canada, A beautiful northern mining town near the Quebec border. Our club offers a variety of Skate Canada programs and our season typically begins October and runs until May with 25 hours Minimum of coaching available each week. This will include on and off ice training. Our club currently has approximately 80 skaters from PRE-CAN to STAR-SKATE level. We will provide travel fee to Wabush at the beginning of the season and a return fee after our Skating season has ended. We will provide a furnished apartment with heat and lights included. Our coach must be able to teach strong fundamentals to beginning and developing skaters as well as learn to skate to our CanSkaters.
Job description is, but not limited to:

- Assess STAR Levels
- Motivate, prepare and accompany athletes for competitive events, tests and seminars.

The Port-aux-Basques Skating Club, in Port-aux-Basques NL, is seeking a Coach (Regional Coach In-Training or higher) to team with 6 part-time coaches to deliver both Canskate and STARskate programs. We skate 14-15 hours per week over 4 days. A maximum of 8 hours per week can be billed to the club for administrative duties, as assigned, at a rate of pay of $22/hr. Two off-ice sessions per week are non-negotiable and must include both physical activity as well as building skater/athlete mindset. Salary/coaching fees commensurate with skill and seniority.
